In order to improve its product portfolio and anticipate market demands, Braskem has launched CG 210N resin, a heterophasic copolymer with excellent properties balance, used to promote a better performance of rapid injection cycles. The novelty can be used for the agricultural market, automotive, home appliances and toys - parts that require greater rigidity.

Rigid Solution

  • Among the advantages of the new resin is the high rigidity to withstand stacking and good impact resistance at low temperature - ideal for application of thin-walled technical parts.
  • In addition, the resin provides gains in the production cycle, ensuring higher productivity but preserving the properties of the part and respecting its design.

Daniel Horácio, from the Development area Of Polypropylene, said:
"The new resin enters an application market in which Braskem was not yet active and, for the development of this material, was a joint action of the commercial, application engineering, product and industrial areas.”

The resin that was originally developed for agribusiness, more precisely for agricultural boxes, has the objective of increasing the integrity of the products, with solutions of quality and cost competitiveness.

Adds Paulo Mattos, from the International Business area, said:
"With the material it is possible to guarantee greater reliability in the logistics process, handling and storage of materials compared to substitutes such as cardboard boxes. These attributes are important differentiators for any business, especially when logistics is long, especially the export process."
