Teijin at CCE 2016: Exhibits Applications for Carbon- & Aramid-fiber-reinforced Composites

TOKYO, Japan -- The Teijin Group’s Toho Tenax Co., Ltd., the group's carbon fibers and composites business, and Shanghai-based Teijin Aramid Asia Co., Ltd., the group's aramid fibers business, is presenting carbon and aramid fiber solutions for electronic components and other applications like boat hulls and sails, motorcycle helmets, and other sporting goods at the China Composites Expo 2016.

CCE 2016, one of the Asia's largest composites exhibitions, is going on in Shanghai from August 31 to September 2.

The Teijin booth (stand A808) is showcasing innovative applications for carbon- and aramid-fiber-reinforced composites developed by the Teijin Group, among the world leaders in high-performance fibers.

TENAX Carbon Fiber

  • Toho Tenax is specifically showcasing how TENAX carbon fiber materials offer superior strength and lightweight properties for users in the Chinese market. 
  • It is exhibiting carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) products, highlighting widening industrial applications especially for electronic components and digital communications devices such as cameras and tablets.

• Teijin Aramid Asia is presenting two filament yarns, Twaron Black and Technora Black.
• Company presents both deep-black versions of high-modulus para-aramid fibers that were originally available only in yellow.
• The fibers including the original yellow versions are highly suited to applications requiring stiffness, strength, lightness and beauty, such as boat hulls and sails, motorcycle helmets, and other sporting goods.
• Other aramid composite applications on display include pressure vessels, circuit breaker rods and various uses in civil engineering.
