Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) is an impact resistant resin. It is a terpolymer of acrylonitrile, butadiene and styrene. ABS was introduced in the late 1940's when its basis SBR was used as a substitute for rubber. Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene is highly rigid. It shows good impact strength even at low temperatures. ABS offers good resistance to abrasions and stains. Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene is majorly employed in automotive exterior and interior parts as well as in electrical and electronic applications.
