Polyethylenes (part of the polyolefins family) are by far the most commercialized thermoplastics. They have a good processability, outstanding heat and chemical stability, exceptional low temperature properties, high impact strength, excellent weatherability and a broad range of service temperatures. Polyethylenes can be classified as low density (LDPE), linear low density and high density polyethylene (HDPE). Main applications are: manufacturing of polyethylene sheets, bottles, plastic bags etc.
