INVISION™ TX 5173U by LyondellBasell is a thermoplastic vulcanizate (TPV) fully crosslinked ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) rubber. Exhibits high heat resistance, good chemical resistance, good compression set, good weatherability, abrasion resistance, low durometer, easy processability, good tear strength, gas fade resistance (non-pinking), resiliency and fluid resistance. Can be processed using profile extrusion, blow molding and coextrusion. INVISION™ TX 5173U is recommended for automotive engine component and sealing system applications.
