Elastollan® R 1000

Elastollan® R 1000 by BASF is a recyclable polyester based thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) elastomer reinforced with 20% glass fiber. Offers outstanding mechanical properties such as high impact strength, high modulus, elasticity and stiffness. Provides good elastic recovery with resistance over a wide range of temperatures, low mold shrinkage and ease of paintability. Possesses low coefficient of linear expansion comparable with steel and aluminium. Exhibits abrasion-, tear-, kink-, oil- and grease resistance. Is processed by injection molding. Elastollan® R 1000 is suitable for automotive body and rocker panels, underbody sealants and technical moldings such as plugs and ski tips.
