DOW SUSTAIN™ DFDA-1687 BK EXP1 is a halogen-free flame retardant thermoplastic elastomer and an option for PVC replacement. Is lead-, sulfur and antimony-free. Is suitable for processing by extrusion. Is suitable for all global standards for continuous operating temperature at 90°C and below, along with low smoke and heat deformation. Provides good balance of mechanical and combustion properties, smooth, low-gloss surface or matte appearance, no scratch whitening, odor or sweat less compounds and easy processing with no special screws required. Exhibits good chemical resistivity, low corrosive off-gassing in the event of a fire, insulation resistance to air and water and flexibility. Used in jacket compounds for UL62 and JCS 4509 cable construction, power cord jacketing and insulation for producers of wires, cables and cord sets for personal electronics, large and small appliances, TVs, DVD/DVR devices, gaming systems, computers/ monitors/ USB attachments, etc. Complies with RoHS and meets UL 62, JCS4509 and HD21.14 AC power cords requirements.
