Hytrel® 5555HS

Hytrel® 5555HS by Celanese is a plasticizer-free thermoplastic polyester elastomer. It is light- and heat stabilized and contains a discoloring antioxidant. Possesses good melt stability, excellent toughness, resilience, high resistance to creep, impact and flex fatigue, flexibility at low temperatures and good retention of properties at elevated temperatures. Provides resistance to industrial chemicals, oils, grease and solvents. Is suitable for processing by injection molding, thermoforming, casting, film-, sheet- and other extrusion. Mostly used in parts with increased heat ageing stability, oil and grease resistance such as tubing, hose, film, sheeting, belting, wire and cable jackets. Hytrel® 5555HS is used in demanding applications in the automotive, fluid power, electrical/electronic, consumer goods, appliance and power tool, sporting goods, furniture, industrial and off-road transportation/equipment industry.
