Elastocon® 8138B

Elastocon® 8138B is a black thermoplastic elastomer. Is formulated for applications that require rubber-like properties and a good surface finish. The grade can be over-molded to polypropylene. Is suitable for processing by injection molding, extrusion or blow molding. Is a latex-free, reclaimable and recyclable grade. Exhibits softness, shock- and sound deadening qualities, excellent impact resistance, colorability, easy processability, reduced material usage, UV stability and high flow properties to enable complex part design. Provides scratch and mar resistance, excellent cold weather impact resistance, resistance to chlorine, sanitizers, oxidizers and algicides, resistance to household cleaning products and reduces microbial growth. Used in automotive products and non-automotive transportation products such as cup holders and storage tray bins, farm equipment, marine products, lawn and garden tools, consumer goods and industrial applications. Complies with RoHS and California Proposition 65.
