SANTOPRENE™ 8191-55B100 by Celanese is a soft, non-hygroscopic, specialty, black-colored polyolefin-based thermoplastic vulcanizate (TPV) grade. It is recyclable within the manufacturing stream, shear-dependent, especially formulated to bond to PC, ABS, PS, PMMA, ASA, PET and PPO/PS blends for applications where hard/soft combinations are required. Suitable for processing by co-extrusion, injection- and multi-injection molding. Designed for soft-touch applications and recommended for applications requiring superior part surface appearance. Used in automotive applications like grips, HVAC flapper door seals, interior, under the hood, consumer applications like floor care, electronics, kitchen tools, power tools, writing instruments, sporting goods, living hinges, cell phones, strain reliefs, tie-layer, eyeglass frames, kitchenware, seals and gaskets, soft-touch grips, white goods and small appliances.
