KRATON® G1640 ES

KRATON® G1640 ES by KRATON is a clear white, thermally stable, linear triblock copolymer based on styrene and ethylene/butylene (SEBS) with bound styrene of 31.7% mass. Exhibits insolubility in water, high strength, low compression set, good ozone resistance and low viscosity. Offers the advantages of a high molecular weight polymer at lower melt viscosities. It is essentially odorless and available in Europe as a fluffy crumb dusted with amorphous silica. Used as a base material for compound formulations and as a modifier of thermoplastics. The inherent stability of the mid block suggests its use in applications that must withstand weathering and high processing temperatures. Possible applications include general consumer and industry applications.
