SEPTON™ 2002

SEPTON™ 2002 by Kuraray is a styrene-ethylene propylene styrene copolymer (SEPS). It has high tensile elongation and low-temperature properties without crystallization. It exhibits hardness and is also a recyclable grade. It possesses high elasticity & strength, low temperature and electrical properties (insulation). It shows weather-, heat aging- and chemical resistance (acid, alkali, alcohol). It is soluble in petroleum benzene, toluene, hexane, chloroform, cyclohexane, tetrahydrofuran and partially soluble in ethyl acetate & methyl ethyl ketone. It is insoluble in methanol, ethanol, acetone, water and dimethylformamide. SEPTON™ 2002 is used in plastic modifiers, medical products, automotive parts, toys, sporting goods, films, soft touch grips and non-woven fabric.
