Pearlstick™ 45-40/11S

Pearlstick™ 45-40/11S is an elastic, crystalline, linear and aromatic thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer (TPU) grade by Lubrizol. Offers medium thermoplasticity, very high crystallization rate and good hydrolysis resistance. Does not contain talcum or any other anti-adherents. Exhibits high tenacity, stress-strain power, surface tack and low melting point. Soluble in acetone, methyl ethyl ketone (MEK), cyclohexanone, dimethylformamide and tetrahydrofuran (THF). Pearlstick™ 45-40/11S is used in the production of adhesives for bonding plasticized PVC to plasticized PVC, leather/rubber or other materials commonly used in the shoe industry. Addition of polyfunctional isocyanate improves the heat-resistance and strength of the joints.
