Pearlstick™ 45-90/03 is an elastic, crystalline, linear and aromatic thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer (TPU) grade by Lubrizol, contains small amount of anti-adherent. Offers very long open-time, high solid content, low crystallization rate, low thermoplasticity and good hydrolysis resistance. Exhibits low viscosity, high tenacity, stress-strain power, surface tack and low melting point. Soluble in acetone, methyl ethyl ketone (MEK), cyclohexanone, dimethylformamide and tetrahydrofuran (THF). Pearlstick™ 45-90/03 is used in the production of adhesives for leather, textiles, rubber and variety of plastics (plasticized PVC & PU elastomers) of shoe industry. Addition of polyfunctional isocyanate improves heat-resistance and strength of the joints.
