SOFPRENE® 540200A60 NEUTRO by SO.F.TER. (Celanese) is an unsaturated styrene butadiene styrene (SBS) compound. It offers excellent elastic properties, easy processibility, recyclability and maintains its flexibility even at very low temperatures (-50°C). It exhibits good abrasion resistance and excellent resistance to several chemical agents like bases, acids, alcohols, detergents and water solutions. It shows high thermal- & electric-insulation values and excellent colorability. It is vulnerable to UV rays, heat and ozone. It improves resistance by using appropriate additives. It is processed by injection molding. Potential applications of SOFPRENE® 540200A60 NEUTRO include furniture like shock-absorbers for bed slats, wheels and anti-shock profiles. It is suitable for household goods like non-slip mats, handles for tools, overmolded rubber lips for dustpan and squeegees and plungers, toys like wheels, handles and seats. It can be used in agricultural applications like gaskets for drip devices. It is a REACH compliant grade with Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006.
