Medalist® MD-34959

Medalist® MD-34959 by Teknor Apex is thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) for over-molding onto engineering plastics. Suitable for use in wearable devices, soft-touch or cosmetic grips for device housings, handheld devices & instruments, seals and gaskets. It bonds effectively to PC, ABS, PC/ABS, CoPe, PET, PBT, ASA, SAN, PMMA, POM, PA and PS. Possesses enhanced softness, translucence and low compression set for effective sealing properties. Medalist® MD-34959 offers resistance to lotions and other chemicals encountered by wearable devices. It is processable by multi-shot, insert molding and a conventional injection molding equipment. It enhances the ergonomic and aesthetic properties of medical devices as well as adds new functionalities such as molded-in seals and cushions. Provides excellent adhesion, design freedom and cost savings associated with parts consolidation. Also used in consumer products and automotive industries. Medalist® MD-34959 do not require a primer and have a shorter cycle time due to avoidance of a curing process.
