Quantum Forged Preg™ 8595 NT by LyondellBasell is a vinyl ester hybrid composite, reinforced with 55% w/w 60K PAN uni-directional continuous mat carbon fiber. It offers fatigue resistance, high stiffness and high strength. It is processed by sheet molding. It can be molded at temperatures in the range of 260-310°F, with 280°F suggested as a starting point. Its cure time depends on molding temperature and part thickness. Quantum Forged Preg™ 8595 NT has a shelf life of 2 months.
