SILASTIC™ MDX4-4210

SILASTIC™ MDX4-4210 by Dow is a non-blooming, pigmentable, two-part silicone elastomer. It does not contain phthalates, organic plasticizer or latex additives, peroxides and by-products, chlorophenyls or PCBs. Exhibits good thin section cure, excellent dielectric properties and no shrinkage when cured at room temperature. Offers batch-to-batch consistency. SILASTIC™ MDX4-4210 is suitable for use as a drug matrix for controlled release drug delivery systems. Designed for use in medical device encapsulating and mold making applications. Can be used for general prototyping, molding and fabrication of medical device components. Complies with FDA 21 CFR 177.2600, U.S. Pharmacopoeia Class V and Class VI for pyrogenecity, cytotoxicity, hemolysis, mutagenecity and skin sensitization. Also meets with European Pharmacopoeia Monograph 3.1.9 closures and tubing tested for volatile matter and substances soluble in hexane.
