SILASTIC™ Q7-7840

SILASTIC® Q7-7840 is a solvent-free, non-blooming, pigmentable, two-part platinum catalyzed, liquid silicone elastomer. It does not contain phthalates, organic plasticizer or latex additives, peroxides and by-products, chlorophenyls or PCBs. It can be post cured. Offers batch-to-batch consistency and low mold fouling. Suitable for processing by liquid injection molding and extrusion. SILASTIC® Q7-7840 is designed for fully automated systems. Recommended for medical device and component fabrication in the healthcare industry including those implantated in humans for less than 30 days and non-implant applications. Complies with FDA 21 CFR 177.2600, ISO 10993-1, USP Class VI, European Pharmacopoeia for closures and tubing for volatile matter and substances soluble in hexane. Meets the acceptance criteria for cytotoxicity, sensitization, irritation/ intracutaneous reactivity, acute and sub-chronic systemic toxicity.
