BLUESIL™ HD 1070 U by Elkem Silicones is a hot curing silicone rubber grade. It cures after addition of a vulcanization agent. It offers low compression set, easy processing and outstanding tear strength. It exhibits good heat stability up to 225°C and good oil resistance. BLUESIL™ HD 1070 U shows major potential for blending with mix and fix range master batches. It can be processed by calendering, extrusion, compression, and injection molding. It is used in production of turbo hoses, parts for EGR system, gaskets, grommets, spark plugs, and miscellaneous profiles.
