Bakelite® BLS-2700 by Bakelite Synthetics is a phenolic formaldehyde resin solution in ethanol. It is generally used with polyvinyl butyral to give crater-free films with enhanced flexibility. It offers outstanding chemical resistance and general metal protection. Bakelite® BLS-2700 is recommended for protective coatings for drum, pail, tank, railcar, wash and metal primers. It complies with the FDA 21 CFR Part 175.300 and 177.1210.
