LIM 8040 by Momentive Performance Materials is a two-component liquid silicone rubber. Offers primer-less adhesion to wide range of substrates like metals and engineering plastics. Exhibits full bond strength immediately after demolding. It is easily pigmentable, excellent high temperature stability, low temperature flexibility, good dielectric and mechanical properties. Designed for processing by liquid injection molding. Potential applications includes sealing elements, automotive connectors, membranes and vibration dampening elements. LIM 8040 complies with USP Class VI, ISO 10993, UL 94 (HB) (File No. E205753), BfR recommendation XV “Silicones” and FDA 21 CFR 177.2600 regulations.
