Silopren™ Electro 242-1 TP 3717

Silopren™ Electro 242-1 TP 3717 by Momentive Performance Materials is a silicone rubber. It is not readily combustible and it does not melt or drip. It is easily pigmented with LSR color pastes. Offers fast hydrophobicity transfer, hydrophobicity recovery, rapid vulcanization, excellent flowability and excellent dielectric behaviour over a wide range of temperature. Exhibits outstanding resistance to aging, weather, arc and tracking. Possesses high stability, flexibility at low temperature, excellent stability to ozone and UV light. Designed for processing by injection molding. Silopren™ Electro 242-1 TP 3717 is developed for the manufacturing of housing & weather sheds, hollow core insulators, cable accessories, high voltage plugs, cable connectors, fittings & terminals, suspension & long rod insulators, post line & pin insulators and surge arresters.
