Silopren™ LSR 1640

Silopren™ LSR 1640 by Momentive Performance Materials is a two-component liquid silicone rubber. It is not readily combustible and it does not melt or drip. It is easily pigmented with LSR color pastes. Shows high productivity, high transparency, less yellowing, low viscosity and low volatile contents. Offers reduced injection time, total cycle time, high flowability, fast cure and excellent mold release. Provides high thermal stability, good rubber-like properties, excellent compression set, high stability to ozone and UV light. Shows excellent resilience and aging resistance. Designed for processing by injection molding. Silopren™ LSR 1640 is used in elastomeric articles like sealing elements, O-rings, stoppers, diaphragms, keypads, bellows, vibration dampers, air vent flaps, switch covers, pressure cookers parts and cable connectors. Complies with KTW, WRAS, BfR recommendation XV "Silicone" and FDA 21 CFR 177.2600 regulations.
