Silopren™ LSR 2020 by Momentive Performance Materials is a two-component liquid silicone rubber, sterilizable with ethylene oxide, steam and gamma radiation. It is not readily combustible. It does not melt or drip and it is easily pigmented with LSR color pastes. Offers excellent processing, excellent biocompatibility, high thermal stability, excellent stability and flexibility at low temperature. Exhibits outstanding aging resistance, excellent dielectric behaviour over a wide range of temperature, high stability to ozone and UV light. Shows good rubber-like properties and long service life at dynamic stress. Designed for processing by injection molding. Silopren™ LSR 2020 is used in elastomeric articles like sealing elements, O-rings, stoppers, swimming caps, vibrator dampening elements and parts of medical technical equipment.
