Silopren™ LSR 2040

Silopren™ LSR 2040 by Momentive Performance Materials is a two-component liquid silicone rubber, sterilizable with ethylene oxide, steam and gamma radiation. It is not readily combustible. It does not melt or drip and it is easily pigmented with LSR color pastes. Offers excellent processing, excellent biocompatibility, high thermal stability, excellent stability and flexibility at low temperature. Exhibits outstanding aging resistance, excellent dielectric behaviour over a wide range of temperature, high stability to ozone and UV light. Shows good rubber-like properties and long service life at dynamic stress. Designed for processing by injection molding. Silopren™ LSR 2040 is used in elastomeric articles like sealing elements, O-rings, stoppers, diaphragms, keypads, bellows, pacifiers, baby teats, respiratory devices, vibration dampers, nose pads, air vent flaps and cable connectors. Complies with USP Class VI, KTW, WRAS (BS 6920), BfR recommendation XV "Silicones", FDA 21 CFR 177.2600 regulations and UL 94 (HB) (File No. E205753) flame rating.
