TSE 221-8U by Momentive Performance Materials is a heat cured silicone rubber (HCR) based on peroxide catalyst system. It is a one-component, general purpose, ready-to-use resin. Exhibits good processability, rapid cure times and relatively low odor during fabrication. Shows enhanced mechanical performance, low hysteresis and high resilience. Offers low compression set and high clarity. Can be processed by injection, compression & transfer molding, extrusion and calendering. Possible applications are automotive, aviation & aerospace, consumer goods, electrical/ electronics, energy and healthcare. TSE 221-8U conforms to UL94HB rating.
