Varcum® 29306 by Sumitomo Bakelite is a two-step, epoxy modified powdered phenolic resin. Exhibits excellent retention of bond strength at elevated temperatures. Provides added toughness & adhesion and minimizes wheel cracking and breakage. Alleviates hard, brittle characteristic of unmodified phenolic resin. It is soluble in ketones & esters and not soluble in aromatic hydrocarbons. Varcum® 29306 is recommended for the production of cutoff wheels, glass-cloth reinforced and high density wheels.
