Varcum® 29401

Varcum® 29401 by Sumitomo Bakelite is a one-step, oil-soluble, solid phenolic resin based on tertiary butyl phenol. Soluble in esters, ketones, aromatic hydrocarbons, isopropyl and higher alcohols. It has limited solubility in methyl and ethyl alcohols and petroleum hydrocarbons. Offers long term heat reactivation stability. Provides a high level of hot-bond strength due to its high capacity for complexing with magnesium oxide. Imparts outstanding resistance to ultraviolet light and/or heat discoloration and staining. Varcum® 29401 can be used in combination with most types of synthetic rubber and solvent systems.
