SURPREN™ SN231 by Sundow Polymers is a flame retardant, general purpose chloroprene rubber. It is obtained by mercaptan modified and chloroprene monomer by emulsion polymerization. Possesses good physical, mechanical & plastication properties and better storage stability. Exhibits good processability, very low compression set and excellent elasticity. Contains talcum as a release agent and has no mechanical impurities. Provides good resistance to oil, chemical, sunlight and abrasion. Suitable for processing by extrusion. SURPREN™ SN231 is designed for bars, hoses, tapes, rubber seals, hard goods, wire and cable jackets.
