3M™ Dyneon™ TFM™ Modified PTFE Powder TFM 1705

Technical Datasheet | Supplied by 3M
3M™ Dyneon™ TFM™ Modified PTFE Powder TFM 1705 by 3M is a modified non-free-flowing suspension PTFE of the 2nd generation produced by suspension polymerization. Is suitable for processing by compression molding. Exhibits improved particle coalescence, low permeability, and good electrical and mechanical properties. Provides dense polymer structure with reduced void content, lower deformation under load, improved flex life characteristics and increased modulus of elasticity. Possesses gel stability, good weldability, excellent chemical inertness, low friction, good flame retardance and high temperature resistance. 3M™ Dyneon™ TFM™ Modified PTFE Powder TFM 1705 is recommended for diaphragms, shaped parts, large walled cylinders or blocks with reduced elephant foot, skived films of >20 µm, linings in the chemical processing industry (CPI) and in valve and pump diaphragms with improved flex life. Meets ASTM D 4894 Type III, Grade 1 classification.
