SX545:CM540U by AEI Compounds is a halogen free, flame retardant, silane crosslinkable polyethylene (XLPE) grade. Exhibits low smoke, low fume, low toxicity, good mechanical and electrical properties. Offers processability at high output rates. The graft component SX545 is mixed with a crosslinking catalyst masterbatch CM540U generally in the ratio 95:5. Is suitable for processing by extrusion. It is used in low voltage insulation and sheathing of all types of cable. SX545:CM540U is listed with insulation specifications such as BS7211.
