AKROMID® B3 1 L

AKROMID® B3 1 L is a low density polyamide/polypropylene (PA + PP) blend. Displays a superior surface quality, enhanced mechanical properties and higher heat resistance in comparison to polypropylene. Possesses approx. 7 – 10 % weight reduction, superior flowability, reduced moisture absorption and enhanced notched impact strength in comparison to PA6 compounds. Exhibits good chemical resistance to ZnCl₂, CaCl₂ and coolants (hydrolysis). Processed by injection molding. Is suitable for automotive applications in engine compartment (cable ducts, cable brackets, fan shrouds, fan wheels, engine covers, intake manifolds, toothed belt covers) in exterior components (window/door handles, side mirror casings), and in interior parts (airbag components, cup holders, glove compartment handles, air duct holders, multifunction switches, switch/transmission housings, seat adjustment lever, sun visor axles, etc.). Used in electrical industry for controls, switches, sensor housings, coil bodies and connectors etc. Also used in industrial applications such as guide rails, casings and covers, handles and levers, sleeves, furniture fittings, hubs for lawn-mowers and energy chains.
