AKROMID® HI B3 GF 15 S1 (3228) is an impact modified Polyamide 6 (PA 6) grade reinforced with 15% glass fiber. Offers extremely high cold-impact strength, stiffness and provides high toughness at low temperatures, high quality surface finish, low moisture absorption as well as easy processing. Provides good balance of properties at significantly higher strengths. Exhibits high thermal resistance and heat distortion temperature. Processed by injection molding and used for metal replacement and applications which are exposed to harsh conditions. Is suitable for automotive applications such as airbag clips, airbag housings, aerial housings, fastening clips, seat add-on parts, belt guides/holders, cable ducts, fan blades, etc., industrial applications as dowels, cable ties, chain drives, valve guard for gas canisters, furniture fittings, tool parts, pump housings, etc., electronic industry for CEE plugs, electrical plugs, housing parts, cable ties. Also used for sports applications for ice skate blade holders, ski binding parts and parts for inline skates.
