AKROTEK® PEEK GF 40

AKROTEK® PEEK GF 40 by Akro-Plastic is a semi-crystalline polyetheretherketone (PEEK) grade reinforced with 40% glass fiber. Provides high impact-, tensile- and flexural strength. Exhibits low outgassing rate, good radiation-, chemical-, creep-, heat- and hydrolysis-resistance and good barrier properties against liquids and gases. Shows high heat distortion temperature and good resistance to aggressive substances such as acids, bases, glycol, solvents, ammonia and engine oil. It is processed by injection molding and extrusion. Used in metal replacement, weight reduction, interior trim, seat components and fasteners. Also used in automotive industry such as gearbox, clutch and chassis components. Designed for heat pumps, pipe couplings and hose connectors. Suitable for electric and electronic applications such as cable coatings, contact strips and plug-in connectors. AKROTEK® PEEK GF 40 is designed for medical uses such as orthopaedic accessories, laboratory equipment and industrial components like pump, compressor components, sealing rings and transport systems.
