STYRON™ 686E

STYRON® 686E is a high heat crystal polystyrene (PS) grade. Offers toughness, gloss, stiffness, flow, cost, exceptional balance between heat resistance, good dimensional stability and excellent clarity. Provides better color consistency, the ability to down-gauge and improved wall thickness distribution. Is suitable for processing by thermoforming, extrusion and injection molding. Applications include foam products like egg cartons, foamed PS sheets used for packaging, egg trays, thin-walled food packages, medium and heavy section applications in the injection molding field, meat trays and clamshells. Is a FDA 21 CFR 177.1640 compliant grade.
