Rilsan® MED polyamide 11

Rilsan® MED polyamide 11 by Arkema is a high-performance, recyclable, bio-circular polyamide 11 (PA 11) reinforced with 65% glass fiber. It is designed for the manufacturing of surgical tools and medical devices. Exhibits biocompatibility, high rigidity, easy processing and high resistance to aggressive chemical agents. Offers excellent resistance to gamma, steam, ETO and e-beam sterilization. It is an ideal candidate to replace metal and other polymers for the production of highly demanding surgical tools. Provides a combination of features in terms of physical performance, lightweight and sustainability. Rilsan® MED polyamide 11 also requires low mold temperatures and injection pressures to decrease their cycle times significantly whilst maintaining component integrity.
