Ultramid® 8231G HS BK-106

Ultramid® 8231G HS BK-106 by BASF is a heat stabilized, black pigmented PA6 grade reinforced with 15% glass fiber. Possesses good elastic properties, high dimensional stability, high creep strength and excellent sliding friction properties. Retains the properties at elevated temperatures and provides good toughness at low temperatures, high rigidity, hardness, high mechanical strength, stiffness, thermal stability, high impact resistance, good processability, good damping characteristics and high shock resistance even in dry state and at low temperatures. It exhibits outstanding resistance to chemicals, hot lubricants, hot water, fuels, hydraulic fluids and coolants, refrigerants, dyes, paints, cleaners, greases, oils, aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons and many other solvents. Is resistant to corrosion, to aqueous solutions of salts and alkalis and to stress-crack formation compared to many amorphous plastics. Processed by injection molding. Ultramid® 8231G HS BK-106 is suitable for applications such as washers, gears, engine and motor parts, chutes, and higher temperature environments. It is compliant with RohS directive 2011/65/EC and WEEE directive 2002/96/EC.
