Ultramid® A3WG6

Ultramid® A3WG6 by BASF is a polyamide 66 reinforced with 30% glass fiber. It provides good toughness at low temperatures, hardness, high rigidity, high mechanical strength, stiffness, thermal stability, very good impact strength and good processability. This grade exhibits outstanding resistance to chemicals, hot lubricants and hot water, fuels, hydraulic fluids and coolants, refrigerants, dyes, paints, cleaners, degreasing agents, aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons and many other solvents. It possesses good elastic properties, high dimensional stability, high creep strength and excellent sliding friction properties. It is resistant to heat aging, corrosion, to aqueous solutions of salts and alkalis and to stress-crack formation compared to many amorphous plastics. Ultramid® A3WG6 is processed by injection molding. It is used for machinery components and housings such as lamp socket housings, cooling fans, insulating profile for aluminum window frames, and different automotive powertrain parts.
