Ultramid® B3K BK00464 by BASF is a polyamide 6 (PA6) grade. Possesses good elastic properties, high dimensional stability, high creep strength and excellent sliding friction properties. Provides good flow, good toughness at low temperatures, high rigidity, hardness, high mechanical strength, stiffness, thermal stability, high impact resistance, good processability, good damping characteristics and high shock resistance even in dry state and at low temperatures. Exhibits outstanding resistance to chemicals, lubricants, fuels, hydraulic fluids and coolants, refrigerants, dyes, paints, cleaners, gasoline, oils, aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons and many other solvents. Ultramid® B3K BK00464 is resistant to corrosion, to aqueous solutions of salts and alkalis and to stress-crack formation compared to many amorphous plastics. Processed by injection molding. Recommended for applications including technical parts with wall thicknesses greater than 2 mm.
