Ultramid® B3S HP

Ultramid® B3S HP by BASF is an unreinforced, polyamide 6 grade. It possesses good elastic properties, high dimensional stability, high creep strength and excellent sliding friction properties. This grade provides good flow, good toughness at low temperatures, high rigidity, hardness, high mechanical strength, stiffness and thermal stability. It displays high impact resistance, good processability, good damping characteristics and high shock resistance in dry state & at low temperatures. It exhibits outstanding resistance to chemicals, lubricants, fuels, hydraulic fluids and coolants, refrigerants, dyes, paints, cleaners, aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, and many other solvents. It is resistant to corrosion, to aqueous solutions of salts and alkalis and to stress-crack formation compared to many amorphous plastics. It is optimized to achieve fast cycle time. Ultramid® B3S HP is processed by injection molding. It is recommended for thin-walled technical parts such as housing, fittings, grips, small parts, anchors, and fixing clamps. It is compliant with RoHS directive 2011/65/EC and WEEE directive 2002/96/EC.
