Ultramid® BG50XFI

Ultramid® BG50XFI is an impact modified PA6 copolymer. Possesses good flow, good elastic properties, high dimensional stability, high creep strength and excellent sliding friction properties. Provides good toughness at low temperatures, high rigidity, flexibility, hardness, thermal stability, superior impact resistance, good processability, good damping characteristics and high shock resistance even in dry state and at low temperatures. Offers higher impact performance than other conventional nylon homopolymers while maintaining good strength and stiffness. Exhibits outstanding resistance to chemicals, lubricants, fuels, hydraulic fluids and coolants, refrigerants, dyes, paints, cleaners, grease, oils, aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons and many other solvents. Is resistant to corrosion, to aqueous solutions of salts and alkalis and to stress-crack formation compared to many amorphous plastics. Processed by injection molding. Used for thinner walled parts and long flow length applications such as cellular phone housings, handheld devices, caps, furniture rails, covers, mower decks and tools. Is compliant with RohS directive 2011/65/ EC and WEEE directive 2002/96/EC.
