Ultramid® C3U BK23079

Technical Datasheet | Supplied by BASF
Ultramid® C3U BK23079 by BASF is a polyamide 6/66 (nylon 6/66) grade. Offers improved flame retardance, good elastic properties, dimensional stability, low creep and excellent sliding friction properties. It provides good toughness at low temperatures, high rigidity, high mechanical strength, stiffness, thermal stability, good impact strength and processability. It exhibits outstanding resistance to chemicals, lubricants, fuels, hydraulic fluids and coolants, refrigerants, dyes, paints, cleaners, degreasing agents, aliphatic & aromatic hydrocarbons and many other solvents. Also, shows resistance to corrosion, aqueous solutions of salts & alkalis and to stress-crack formation compared to many amorphous plastics. Ultramid® C3U BK23079 is suitable for processing by injection molding. It is used for impact resistant electrical insulating parts such as contact bases and plug connector strips.
