Ultramid® EQ Series

Ultramid® EQ Series by BASF contain laser markable polyamide 6 and polyamide 66 grades available as uncolored & in black color, and reinforced with 30 to 35 % glass fiber. They offer good resistance to heat aging. These grades contain an organic heat stabilizer with a very low halogen content of less than 1 ppm. Low halogen content prevents halogens like iodine or bromine from damaging metal wiring, ions from reacting with the metals, and undesired electric currents from arising. Ultramid® EQ Series grades help prevent damage to circuits by electric corrosion. Recommended for sensitive automotive micro-electronics applications such as control units (airbag & anti-lock systems) and sensors. Also suitable for use in electric and hybrid vehicles with elevated AC and DC voltages.
