Borlink™ LE8280

Borlink™ LE8280 by Borealis is an odorless, crosslinkable polyethylene (XLPE) compound. It contains excellent distribution of carbon black and additives which offers smooth semi-conductive screen. It is designed for processing by extrusion method. It offers excellent thermal stability, excellent surface finish, scorch resistance and outstanding output rates. It shows crosslinking at high surface temperature, allowing for high line speed. It is recommended for semi-conductive screen of XLPE high voltage (HV) AC cables with rated voltages up to 230 kV. Borlink™ LE8280 can be used as conductor and insulation screen for bonded cable constructions and as conductor screen for strippable cable constructions. It complies with EC Regulation 1907/2006, WEEE, REACH and RoHS.
