BorLite™ OPE792

Technical Datasheet | Supplied by Borealis
BorLite™ OPE792 is a high molecular weight linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) for Mono-directional Orientation (MDO) technology. Contains antioxidants. Is suitable for processing by blown film extrusion. Exhibits high melt strength for good processing behavior of primary films, excellent draw down on MDO lines, high impact strength, high puncture resistance, lower operational costs and reductions in energy and CO2 emissions. MDO-films made of this product are characterized by very high toughness and balanced MD/TD tear resistance. It brings trouble-free, smooth operation to the MDO process, giving the flexibility for film performance properties. Is suitable for recycling using modern methods of shredding and cleaning. BorLite and MDO offer heavy duty shipping sacks (HDSS) market same or higher film performance, packaging process improvements, outstanding material reductions and associated cost and environmental benefits. Allows 38% thickness reduction from 130 µm to 80µm, 50% increase in impact strength, high line speeds with up to 2000 bags/hour achieved and high load security during transportation and storage. Shows reduction in bag cost per unit, 37% weight reduction, 8% reduction in energy use to produce a unit bag for 25kg and 130 tons of CO2 emission reduction per 1000 tons of goods packed. Used in food and industrial packaging applications such as heavy-duty bags, industrial films, consumer packaging, compression packaging, twist wrap, label films, sleeves and fresh food packaging.
