FR8101 by Borealis is a UV-resistant, halogen-free, flame-retarded polyethylene thermoplastic grade. It exhibits low smoke and low dripping, combined with excellent extrusion. It offers excellent mechanical properties. Cables sheathed with FR8101 can be used in areas sensitive to smoke or where low corrosive and toxic combustion products are required. It is designed for flame retardant jacket for low voltage installation cables.
