Visico™ LE4421 / Ambicat™ LE4476 by Borealis is a silane crosslinkable compound system. Visico™ LE4421 (base material) is a low density polyethylene (LDPE), copolymerized with vinyl silane. Ambicat™ LE4476 is an ambient crosslinking catalyst masterbatch. The system is highly active and crosslinks quickly at ambient conditions, in sauna or in hot water. It offers excellent processability, outstanding curing speed, storage stability, excellent surface finish and no volatiles. It is designed for processing by PVC/PE extrusion. The insulation system exhibits excellent thermo-oxidative stability in contact with copper and aluminium. Visico™ LE4421 / Ambicat™ LE4476 is designed for insulation of low voltage energy cables, range up to 6 kV.
