Visico™ ME4425 / Ambicat™ LE4472

Visico™ ME4425 / Ambicat™ LE4472 by Borealis is an environment-friendly, low-density polyethylene (LDPE) grade copolymerized with crosslinkable vinyl silane. Visico™ ME4425 (base material) in combination with Ambicat™ LE4472 (highly active catalyst masterbatch) accelerates moisture-induced crosslinking reaction at ambient conditions, in sauna or in hot water. It contains 2.25% carbon black, antioxidant, metal deactivator and drying agent. It offers excellent processing properties, storage stability & surface finish, outstanding curing rates and excellent weatherability. It provides low scorch allowing long runs and more frequent tooling changes. It is free from heavy metals and volatiles. It exhibits insulation with excellent thermo-oxidative stability in contact with copper & aluminum, no or little die drool. It is designed for processing by PVC/PE extrusion. Visico™ ME4425 / Ambicat™ LE4472 is recommended for covering & insulation of overhead cables and insulation of low voltage energy cables, range up to 6 kV.
