Marlex® 9608XD Polyethylene

Marlex® 9608XD Polyethylene (Old Name: MarFlex® 9608XD) by Chevron Phillips Chemical is a high density polyethylene grade. It is tailored for cast film extrusion applications. This grade possesses very low gel levels. It exhibits very clear film, excellent water vapor transmission rate for a chill cast film and excellent processability & drawdown. In extrusion coating applications, it offers enhanced stiffness, abrasion resistance and increased temperature resistance. It is designed to be blended or coextruded with a low density polyethylene (LDPE) coating grade, if used in extrusion coating. Marlex® 9608XD Polyethylene is used in food packaging, moisture sensitive packaging, co-extrusions and overwraps.
